Mental Health Service

Mental health problems may change how you think, how you feel and what you do.  This may impact on you and your relationships with others.

We understand there are things that put people more at risk of developing mental health problems, including:

  • Moving to a new country
  • Past experiences with war
  • Physical health problems
  • Living circumstances
  • Family breakdown
  • Grief and loss
  • Drugs, alcohol or gambling
  • Trauma

With good medical and psychological support many people living with mental health problems can better manage their symptoms and lead a more fulfilling and positive life.

  • Providing information and education to local ethnic community groups
  • Community consultation regarding issues pertaining to mental health problems
  • Provision of workshops targeting the needs identified by specific communities

Who delivers this service?

A team of bilingual and bi cultural staff specialized in mental health work alongside the clients to support the achievement of the client goals.
